The Phoenix Ranch Staff is the core of our success. Training is key in developing leaders and role models who follow our philosophy of being play participants, and not just supervisors. Counselors and cluster leaders focus on the needs of the campers, while the directors keep their attention to detail in programming and safety. The guidelines set forth by the American Camp Association offer a blueprint for success!
Our college age staff has undergone over 32 hours of pre-camp training followed by 8 hours of in-service training. Our friendly and outgoing staff reflect the high standards and the noticeable difference that excellent hiring practices, quality training, and affiliation with an accrediting national governing body brings. The American Camp Association Standards meet and exceed city, county, and state guidelines. Our program gets re-accredited every three years; our last visit in summer of 2016 produced a perfect score with 100% of the standards met!!! Compare our program and training and see the Phoenix difference.
Camp is a special place where campers feel safe to enjoy the love of nature and the outdoors. All staff has been background checked, fingerprinted, and has undergone our distinct selection process. Our goal is to maintain our campus as a safe and secure environment for campers to thrive! Come experience the Phoenix tradition of excellence. We have over 35 years of experience of making incredible memories for our campers!
I love camp because I get to do things I don’t normally get to do
I love camp because everyday is a different adventure, and those adventures allow me to create the greatest memories with my favorite people.
The staff is wonderful!
I loved camp as a camper because many times that was the only time you were able to see your friends that each went to a different school… you did the school year and then you looked forward to camp because you knew you would see your friends again
